Fantasia Grows Up and Speaks Out

On this weeks episode Fantasia shows a different side of herself as she confronts dad, Joseph Barrino, about the struggles and conflicts between them.  For the first time she seemed like a young woman in charge, not being led by others.  She was clear in her feelings with her father when they spoke on the phone and ended the conversation well.  It appears that she is now on the right track with her life and her new album will no doubt be a great success.

I was proud to see her speak out and not let the word "family" keep her from defending what is true.  It was also nice to see Teeny try to do something for himself.  Something that had nothing to do with Fantasia.  Seeing him earn his own money was a great stride for him.  He had a plan and followed through on it.  Good job Teeny and Tasia.  Enjoyed this weeks show...."For Real".  :o)

Mo 'Nique Wins Oscar For Precious.....Is There a Pattern Here????

So once again we see an African American winning an Oscar for a dysfunctional role in a movie.  I am not "Oh So Proud" of this accomplishment at all.  I don't even patron these shows anymore other than the occassional tune in to see what everyone's wearing.  We've seen it with Denzel, winning for Training Day, the street hustler cop out of control.  We've seen it with Halle Berry, the broke down single mother of an overweight black child whose father was in prison and who became the lover of Billy Bob Thornton and showed off her assets.  We've seen it with the winning of an Oscar for the theme song from the movie "Hustle and Flow", It's Hard out Here for a Pimp, and Terrance Howard receiving a nomination for being an all out thug.  Come on, this is not something to be proud of.  Seems like applause for exploitation to me. 

I'm over these shows.  Nothing of substance and no need to patronize.  It is also troubling to see Mo 'Nique be so proud to tell Barbara Walters that she doesn't believe in shaving and displaying her hairy legs on national TV.  How do you put on a beautiful gown, get all dolled up and then unleash a beast from underneath your dress.  Come on Mo.....I am not proud of that.  Not at All!!!

OC Housewives Finale Good to the Finish!

Girls, Girls, Girls, thanks for the excellent finale!  Lets get started:


Lynne and Frank- Daughters show up drunk as hell and she and hubby claim to not even realize that they were drinking in the limo on the way over.  This is so ridiculous to see on TV.  Lynne totally tunes those kids out.  Whole party realizes they are drunk but her and hubby are walking around like it's everyday business and no big deal.  They even show up making a scene.  And why does that one always start crying when she gets called out.  It seems to be her way of getting out of trouble.  Starts with all that I can't take it stuff....please Alexis give us a break.  These girls are not that attractive to begin with, don't appear to be that smart and seem headed for disaster.  Eyes closed for everything else so we can certainly see how Lynne was kicked out of her home without having a clue!


Alexis and Jim-  Hmmm, same old same old.  I think Alexis' fake religion stuff kind of gets on my nerves.  She seems to jump in and out of it to make herself seem humble.  If she's so christian like why hasn't she put her feelings for Vikki aside and made a mense.  Jim, hustler along for the show.  Seems to take pride in her in your face attitude.  What was up with Alexis' mom?  She looked like a bad witch.  Black lipstick and a puffy face.  Should have recovered a bit more.













Jeana and Crew-  It was nice seeing Jeana.  Her kids seem to really be doing well.  All so happy, real and down to earth.  I was also glad to see Jeana recognized that Vikki didn't have her back when Vikki ran to her to tell her about Tamra and the other girls. 


Gretchen and Slade- It's true, they did come in looking like barbie and ken on a cheap wedding cake.  Gretchen just doesn't listen.  While Lori had no business, as she really doesn't know Gretchen, inquiring about her relationship with Slade, she should have listened and took note that here was yet another housewife acknowleding a relationship with him.  Wake UP!!!  Seems like she could have anybody her own age or better.  Why Slade?  He seems like a real loser.  Everyone else certainly thinks so.  Embarrasing being in a room where everyone knows your mans business.

TAMRA AND SIMON-  You know, I keep going back and forth with these two but the obvious conclusion is that they just arent suited for each other.  It was sooooooooooo funny hearing her tell him get a a job!  Simon, you are no longer the MAN!  He is always putting her down, its true.  He must have liked her behavior at some point because she doesn't appear to be any different.  There are times that she seems to be screaming for attention in this very juvenile way though.  Tamra is very attractive, I don't think she realizes that she does not have to put on a show and drink to get attention.  I understand that he wants her to behave like a wife but I don't think she's that bad Simon.  I was glad to see her get in his ass in the limo.  She finally let loose on him.  Then didn't let it go at the party.  He deserved to get dissed in front of everyone.  Felt bad when she broke down with Vikki but when she lied when he walked over I would have walked away.  Wonder why she is so frightened of him.  Surely she can find someone who accepts her as she is.  Simon just doesn't treat her right.  Good riddens Simon!


















Vikki and Don-  Family in tact and strong and marriage stronger than ever.  I was sad to see Vikki allow Tamra to pull her into the same drama though.  Tamra is not a very good girlfriend.  She has broken several codes and talked behind Vikki's back.  Seems she only seeks Vikki out when she needs her.  Vikki needs a whole different group.  A working women's group.

Pep Dates an Asian Dude?

Many of us are loving Let's talk about Pep.  It's known as the black woman's sex and the city.  I can go with that.  This weeks episode with "Tom" and Pep was enlightening and fun.  Tom is an Asian doctor who has somewhat put it on Pep!  Seems very confident and into her.  Seems like something new for her.  Something other than that hip hop bad boy type she is use to.  Tom treats her like a lady, reminding her that she is deserving of the finest treatment and the finer things in life.  I was surprised to see that Pep didn't just date Tom for one episode and then move right back into the same old thing.  This one seems genuine and mutual on both sides.  On the latest episode Pep and Tom actually decide to become EXCLUSIVE.  Nice Pep.  Hope this is it for you.  Will be nice for the brother's that thought they were treating you right to view.  Check out the clip.  

Seeing Simon's Side

This week I kind of see Simon's side of things. Tamra can kind of be a bit trashy and classless at times. Seems like he's the grown up and Tamra wants to behave like a blond teenager. Tamra

too much. Totally agreed with him when he said his friends think he's patient. They just seem like polar opposites. Seems like he likes the way she looks but beyond that he doesn't really care for her as a mate. Maybe he's right, he's just looking out for you Tamra. That party girl image is not something he wants his kids mom doing. I'm a trucker with boobs.....oohhhhhh, ouch. Simon does seem a bit classier than you Tamra. Tone it down girl.

Lynn, just go home and try to teach your kids basic respect. That cursing at your parents thing has got to stop!!

OC Housewives do San Francisco Part II

Seemed like another opportunity to diss Vicki. I didn't blame her one bit for leaving the table and walking away. Also noticed that on this episode hubby Jim was very free and easy with Alexis traveling alone. Hmmm....they seemed so unified in there stance on "We don't go anywhere without each other speech" so fake. Give me a break. Now Vicki can be very harsh at times, we all see that but attacking her in front of her kid was kind of low. Not the best time to confront someone especially when there kid is sick. Why did Alexis keep getting stuck in her prayer. Like Tamra said, how many ways can you spell dysfunctional? Watching that preacher and his wife at Jim and Alexis' house was funny. Like everyone held there breath when Jim spoke of his wife's T & A....lol

Vicki and Tamra seem so different. Not sure why Vicki keeps making the effort here. Let Tamra deal with her man alone. Slade and Gretchen, please, read on the net that he has a disabled child he isn't even paying child support for. Glad she knows better than to marry him. Seems like he's looking to be a kept man. Any housewife will do. Stay tuned.......

Teeny Is a loaded weapon about to go off

Fantasia, I sincerely hope you are watching these episodes as they play out. I am one week behind in viewing but this episode where Teeny gets on stage and embarrases the family is soooooooooo ridiculous. Now your other brother, he can really really blow. When he belted out that vocal for his new album it was clear that you and he are musically blessed. No doubt about it. But Teeny, wow, couldn't get the vocal right and going off on everyone? WTF..... and the hair Teeny, the hair. Throwing the braids is not cool. Joe Barrino, get a day job and humble yourself for real. You will not be making it in the music business. Can't wait for Tasia's new CD. Sounds like some of her best work yet. Soulful but not trying to hard and sounds age appropriate this time. You Go Girl!

And listen to your brother Rico. He is not trying to let Teeny mess up his stuff. Seems to know the Teeny song very well.

New Jersey Housewives Do Not Play

Yesterday, for the first time, I watched the New Jersey Housewives. These ladies are sure to please for any reality Junkie! Woah....do not mess with that Theresa. After watching several episodes I thought she was the calm one. The mommy type who wants to avoid drama....well guess not....the table flipping episode was off the charts!

I was able to catch up on all episodes and was completely fulfilled. It was my complete joy to watch these ladies who kind of act like guys go at it. Caroline was also not playing when it came to getting in her sister Dina's face. Can't wait for the next season for these ladies.

Shauna Raish Episode on The Millionaire Matchmaker

I wish I could have found a copy of this episode to upload for all to see. If you haven't seen it you can find it on Bravo TV.com. Shauna Raish is a 42 year old millionaire who is obsessed with young hot guys as she puts it. She appeared last season and apparently couldn't find love on her own and keeps getting used by the guys she's so fond of. Get a grip Shauna....like Patti said you're not
"All That". As Patti put it Shauna is a complete AGIST...don't see it too often in a woman so I was quite surprised at her behavior. Shauna comes back to Patti saying she's ready to date someone her age but once on a date with a man she helps pick she checks out and runs like a little KID??? WTF??? That man dated Heidi Klum for 9 months....hello.....he seemed like a real catch and a complete gentleman. Seems like it was probably for the best for him.

I just couldn't believe she ran like that. Dropped her shoe and made a complete fool of herself on TV. Too much BOTOX...popeye look....and get a nose job too Shauna. You've got the money. LOL.

You've Been Served But You're Still Shopping??

Ok Lynne, you just got served and you are still taking casual trips with the ladies and shopping like you have no limits?

Is she crazy? Why is she mad at Frank? She knows they are broke. Why is she having still enjoying frivolous surgeries shopping and pretending? Her husband is right. She lives in a bubble. Your kids were just served but you go off with the ladies and hang just like it's an everyday occasion? Wow. I guess Vikki is also obligated to hang out with these ladies. After that incident at Lynne's dinner party who would have guessed that she would be traveling with them and putting herself into another confrontational situation.

Gina was right to leave this show. She knows that she no longer belongs in this group and dropped off to get herself together and not put all her business in the street. Tamra and Simon about to lose there home and still going on like all is good, and Alexis is super dramatic. The whole liver scene was overboard girl. Give us a break. Drama queen, and don't make her mad...she might start the neck roll snap and take you outside to jack you up...LOL.

Upcoming Shows for Faith Evans and Kirsti Alley

Just heard that two new shows are coming to Reality TV.... Faith Evans, I'ts All About Faith, of course a new album coming too, on Bravo and Kirsti Alley's Big Life coming to A & E.

Now, Faith, I'll give it a shot and see what's going on. Probably will be the next Fantasia/Keisha Cole/Monica show.

Kirsti, I'm not sure people want to see you being fat....again....and acting somewhat over the top. It's not that cute and you've been there done that and obviously can't keep the weight off so what's new here. Don't know if we need to tune in for that.

Orange County Cat Fights

Ok...where do I start.... Was this episode hate on Vikki and Don night or what?? Vikki and Don seemed like the only grown ups at Lynn's party, outside of Lynn and hubby. Not sure why her and Don even bothered to show up at that mess. Tamra, you know that your marriage is terrible and that Simon treats you badly. He apparently likes a puppet that he can dangle. The tattoo of his name in a visible area was a huge mistake. Seems like a real jerk. His hate for Vikki is almost girl like. Blaming her for the change in his wifes personality is really sad. Maybe she just isn't happy with you Simon. Seems to me when the money ran out she stopped pretending she was happy and started speaking and acting out.

Vikki is also right about the work stuff as well as the traveling with Don issue. While everyone tries to make a big deal about Don not going with her everywhere, her marriage seems to be the strongest at the table...lets see:

Tamra and Simon can't get along with each other and fake it on every occassion. Gretchen is dating housewives left overs that can't do anything for her and doesn't have a job, seems like her man isn't working either. Jim and Alexis seem plastic and Jim seems to be extremely controlling and slightly belittling whenever possible. He is always talkign to his wife like she is his kid....15 year difference seems to explain this a bit. And Lynn, I don't even know her husbands name, seems very insignificant although they seem to get along the eviction episode should speak volumes aboout what's really going on with her marriage. Also what is Simon doing for a job these days. Always seems to be dressed casual and hanging at the house.

So Vikki, Don is right, none of these people are in support of you and they are definately not friends. You need a group of ladies that are more on your level, you're not plastic, your'e confident and strong, your'e not relying on a man to take care of you, you have the most beautiful home of all of them, you're very successful and very classy. Move on from these fakes!

On another note did anyone notice that Jim had a wad of cash in his billfold when he took his wife on that little trip? What exactly does he do and why is it somewhat of a secret? He seems a bit urban in his dress and she seems kind of ghetto and in your face when she gets mad. I think there's a story here. Hmmm..... too funny, on the web they are known as Taliban Jim and Barbie Alexis...seems fitting.

Braxton Family Values

Now just where has Ms. Toni Braxton been? Heard she has a new album coming out as well as a new reality show called Braxton Family Values. Due to air on Bravo so I am sure it will be worth viewing. Seems this is the new formula for putting out a new album. Create some interest with a reality show...lets see, Keisha Cole, Monica, and now Fantasia have all created new interest in themselves by doing it, why not Toni B. Can't wait Toni...sure to add this one to my recordings.

Teeny Again??!@

Tasia, one question...looks like you appear to be taking care of the whole crew, why is Teeny singled out? Why is Teeny the only one that needs to spread his wings and fly on his own? I understand that the other brother is singing with you and that's what he's doing for work but seems kind of like the rest of the family is allowed to seek shelter with you and hang out, just not Teeny...huh.

Wish I had seen The Color Purple Show with Fantasia in it. It was really good, but seeing her sing that part was amazing. I know she brought the house down. Your brother is right though, Teeny is just glad to be back at the house. Tasia, he's not going anywhere!

Grammy's seem so time consuming

Lately I am unable to get through a full viewing of any of the award shows. They seem so time consuming with lots of artist and hosts that I am uninterested in seeing. It's like I'm constantly changing channels every other performance simply because 85% of the people on there are people I don't want to see. Also noticed that too many people are doing red carpet shows these days. Not everyone can do the Joan Rivers thing....some of your input is not needed or respected. Who made everyone a fashion critic????

The screen kept freezing up as well throughout the show...what up with that??? And why does Beyonce' seem stuffed into her dresses all the time without an inch of breathing room to spare? Her couture clothing seems to be about an inch or two too tight....give yourself an inch to eat girl!

Had to add another note...WHY DOES RIHANNA look like a lighted match??? LOL LOL

Rob Kardashian The Stalker

Haven't followed this one in a while. Last episode I watched was when Khloe married Lamar Odom. This show seems rehearsed in so many ways. Seems very scripted. The blowups seem planned. I watch this one when nothing else is on so here goes......

Why is Rob Kardashian emailing/texting/calling his ex-girlfriend over 65 times in one day? Is he crazy....under normal circumstances you would be called a STALKER! Get a grip, if she hasn't responded to the first five or six messages she probably didn't want to talk to you. Even went so far as to plan a trip to her house in another city to get a response from her. On the way to the airport he gets a text from her NEW MAN...lol.....telling him to move on and stop trying to contact her. Wasn't he just in the tabloids for getting into some fight....imagine if he had showed up there unannounced. Seems kind of pathetic.

Seems like they are reaching for topics on this show.

Kittie and the Phone Sex Guy Episode

Wow, Kittie has a heart. She's really kind of odd....having a phone relationship with some guy for 3 YEARS....hmmm.....kind of weird. Seemed strange that he could and would engage in all that phone sex and then blow her off in person. He seemed somewhat intimidated by her. It was surprising to see her crying over that.

I find it hard to believe that Pep has not done the do in four years. When she had that show with Salt on VH1 she didn't seem like she had been hibernating. Joumana, as usual had nothing to add to the show. She does not appear to really be looking for a date.

Jackie, hope she hooks up with that guy on her speed date....seemed there was some chemistry there for real. I felt that. Go for it Jackie!!!

Pep Tries Dating in the Regular Relm?

So on this episode Pep tries to put herself in an environment where regular business men are. It was interesting that nobody approached her at all. I don't think her look is one that an everyday businessman would take too. The gold weave everywhere.....the club look at happy hour...nah.......won't work Pep. It was a better episode than the first. Seems that Jackie Reed may be able to help her change her look and tone it down a bit. Probably should stick with the athletes and the actors Pep. Seems fitting. Kitty seemed calmer on this episode as well. A bit extreme on the first. Maybe it was just for TV....at least we hope. The toes tasting like meatloaf was just too much Kitty.

Lynne Curtin WTF!!!

Lynne- WTF, WTF, your daughter called you a bitch on TV, then said kiss my ass???? She's right...your kids are begging you to be their mom. Stop worrying about your body and stop trying to be one of there kids and be a MOM! Alexa deserved a hard slap in the face for calling her mom a bitch. This is a child that is so obviously out of control. Your husband is weak and Alexa is right, why the hell do you need a parenting coach. And what happened at Alexis' house tonight? Was Lynne on something. Maybe she was drunk but she was slurring her words and not making any sense at all. Your child does not respect you and walks all over you. Get a grip and jack her up. She is a little bitch headed for disaster!! Don't let her curse you out on TV like that.

Guess Tamra was wrong about her marriage. The net says that Simon filed for divorce. It's all good Tamra. You're a hottie. You don't need Simon to survive. Get out there and do your thing. You don't need a control freak for a husband. Simon needs a reality check.

Vikki, do your thing. As always you are not ashamed to make it happen, don't put on heirs and keep it real. The only survivor on the show. You never pretended to have that "housewife" title like the rest of them and never pretended everything was perfect between you and Don. Only real marriage on the show.

Ugh......Alexa....I just can't get over it. Lynne should watch Naomi on Private Practice. Now that's a Mama!!

Private Practice

No, it's not a reality show but I did say we could talk about other fun stuff. Private Practice is by far my favorite show on television at the moment. Last weeks dose with Mya was just so real. When Mya's mom slapped her, couldn't look at her and dragged her into that room to see that woman having that baby, I thought, this is REAL. Will Sam and Red hook up?....for sure.....Coop, what an idiot. Can't take the reality of a strong woman like Charlotte. What a loser, and Violet..coocoo but dealing with her issues.

Patti Out of Control...I Love It

Patti has once again brought us a new season of insults and brash reality. I can't wait to see the return of Shawna the cougar who thinks so much of herself. When she and Patti have it out this season it is sure to increase the ratings. I am glad that Patti got engaged though. Her harshness sometimes seems a bit over the top for someone who was over forty and still single. Like the new look Patti. Glad you changed that Elvira hair.

Too Much Teeny

Fantasia For Real. Ok....so far seems like a lot of family drama. Teeny is wearing me out. If I see one more picture of him saying that line on the preview "every since you won the idol....you ain't been the same" I'm just gonna scream. Come on Tasia. All that money and you seem like you haven't really done anything to productive. Seems like the Tasia family drama show so far. Stay tuned.
